I won’t post a poem today, but instead, I want to ask my readers:

We met in proud Utah and wore opaque
vodka on those vague Sundays for the
unfaithful on your dangling back porch

I hate that I missed National Poetry Day. When I was a kid I use to piggy back and write poetry based on poems that I read. The poems were mostly about love. Ha! 😀Now, ideas for poems come to me from things that happen in life. It’s hard for me to write to a prompt. That’s part of the reason I started the Poetry Challenge.I love your writing. I’d love for you to join me in the challenge.

If you are like me, you are busier than you ever thought you could be. 🙂 I am doing a 30 day challenge just for myself. It’s a way for me to take some time to be creative everyday. Also, I find it so hard to write to prompts. This should help.

I guess nature and my emotion-change and the writer-in-me inspires me to write more. Books don’t inspire me. I read because i like to read. 🙂

You’re exactly right! I don’t look to books for inspiration, either. I prefer to lose myself in the story instead.

My inspiration, unfortunately, comes from my struggles, my depression, my fights and my anger.
I envy those with positive muses.

I feel the exact same way. I don’t really write “happy” things often. I find the raw, real and ugly things are what make for the most beautiful writing…
So, there is something positive that comes from all that struggle after all.

My inspiration, most of the time, comes from within – my own feelings. Sometimes it comes from what I see/hear/experience, and other times, from song lyrics! 🙂

❤ so much love! I am inspired by the same things. Sometimes, however, when I'm struggling with writer's block, I am interested in seeing where else I can draw inspiration from (through prompts, or elsewhere).
